United Nations

Created in the context of the preparation of the World Summit for Social Development heldin Copenhagen in 1995, the Triglav Circle participated in Geneva-2000, the five-year review of the implementation of the commitments made in Copenhagen. It was granted consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in 2001.

Since 2002, the Circle regulary makes statements to the Commission for Social Development, a subsidiary of the Economic and Socail Council in charge of the follow-up of the Summit.

Also, the Circle is actively involved in the reflections and debates on the concept of harmony with nature, wich is part of the item on sustainable development in the agenda of Generaly Assembly.
