The dawn of the 21st century seemed an appropriate moment to ask whether churches were bringing good news to the poor and going about it in the right way. Over 24 countries were part of this study project initiated by the Association of Ecumenical Development Agencies in Europe (APRODEV) in collaboration with the World Council of Churches and nicknamed ‘Project 21’.
